Imagine this scenario. It’s a warm, late summer evening. The sun is setting beautifully in orange and pink tones. I’m out with my wife of 17 years, strolling along one of the many beautiful west coast beaches. I turn to her, look into her eyes and softly say ‘I love you’.
Without losing a stride she lets go of my hand, turns her hands into finger guns, shoots them into the air and says ‘pew pew’.
